CG140 Citrus & Bottle

Challenge GC140 (Gingersnap Creations) theme: 2 colors only.
I used Adirondack colors Citrus & Bottle. Brayered both colors ink to create the background and then used Bottle to stamp the images and Citrus for the 'sun'.

SDC 49

The background is done with alcohol ink (Cool Peri & Purple Twilight) on glossy cardstock. The text is done with rub-ons.

GC139 Faux technique

Gingersnap Creations Challenge 139 it -Use a faux technique-.
I used the Faux Leather Technique on an atc. My hands do hurt now, tearing off all those pieces of sticky tape. I sealed the atc with embossingpowder and heattool and made this card with it.

Oh, I do loooove Daniel Torrente's art stamps!! This one I just purchased, first time I used it. 
I stamped the background with versamark and then brayered over it. One with mushroom Adirondack ink, the other with Mountain Meadow Big&Juicy ink.
Am not sure what colour is my favourite, so I put them both on my blog.

Thought the lyrics worked perfectly for this challenge.

GM 32 A Little 12 Tags Review

Challenge on Grungy Monday #32 is A Little 12 Tags Review, sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!
It is about Your Favorite New Technique From 12 Tags 2011.
I very much liked the technique on Tag #9 with all the embossing (this was new to me and I discovered... watch out for your hands, it gets hot...) and made a Valentine Tag with this technique:

Pluie

On Less Is More the challenge is 'One Word'.
I used versamark to stamp the man with umbrella, then brayered with Distress Ink Iced Spruce and spritzed some water to make it look like it rains. Stamped the word Pluie (Rain) with Iced Spruce & Archival Black.

Cracked ATC's

Stamped the woman / flower with Archival Ink. Added several layers of Versamark & UltraThick EmbossingPowder, placed the atc's for a few minutes in the freezer and cracked the layers.
The rubbed DI on the surface and wiped of with tissue.

My wish for the New Year (Stampotique Designers Challenge 45) is that every day gives you something that can make you smile and 2012 will have lots of days with a golden edge..........

On Grungy Monday they celebrate the birthday of Mister Tim Holtz himself this week!
Brayered on the (with versamark) stamped background with DI Ripe Persimmon and Evergreen Bough. Stamped and heat-embossed the clock with DI & powder Vintage Photo. Added tissuepaper, salvage stickers (lost and found) boy with dog and number 7, grungeboard swirl, game spinner, crackle accents on the 7.

First stamped with versamark and then brayered with Distress Ink Black Soot and spritzed some water on the wet ink.
