GM30 Get Out The Tissues

For challenge 30 on Grungy Monday - Get Out The Tissues -.

Tag #12

Took me 3 days, but I made my version of T!m's Tag #12 of his 2011 series 12 Tags Of Christmas.
For the word WISE I used grungeboard letters, one I painted black, the top one I heat-embossed with silver embossingpowder. For the background I stamped the text, then put a wash of white acrylic over it, tissuetape (I used self adhesive and crumbled it while putting it on the tag) and smeared a layer of Iridescent Medium over it to make it shine. The men (only one is visible, the other I stamped on the back, don't know why, really....) I stamped on a dominostone.

Winter

Made for the Art Journey Challenge #16 Theme Winter.
For the background I used several Blue Distress Inks and splattered water on it (like Tim's Tag #11 in the Christmas Tag series 2011).
Then stamped the Friends and a few times the Ornament (these I heat-embossed with silver embossing powder).
Used the edge-scraper and heat-embossed the edges with silver as well.
Finished with snowflake eyelets and blue crystals.

Celebration

The december challenge on Just Tracys is Celebration.
I made this card for the wedding of a dear friend of mine. She's getting married January 2nd.
Background paper comes from Crafty Individuals.
Rubberstamps backgroundlyrics, couple, hearts, Love, key & clock are from NonSequitur.
The birds are a stamp by Magenta.

Stampotique Challenge:
Inspired by T!m's Tag 9 for the background......... wow, heat-embossing 3 to 4 times gets your fingers hot!
Yesterday arrived Twinkie (thanx again for winning the challenge a while ago!!) used with some shining stars and underneath sprinkled some glitter 'drowned' in glossy&crackle accents. It's for sure a shimmery, glimmery, glittery tag!!! Difficult to scan though. Maybe I'll try to take a photo tomorrow.

12 tags of Christmas - tag 9

I have been working on Mr. T!m's tag #9 today.
Wow, I do so love this way of creating a background, simply stunning.......
Still busy with 2 others, I used different colours on them, but I want to show my Parisian one now...Not a Christmas theme though....more a romantic one  ;-))
I used rub-on letters for AMOUR and put glossy accents on them. I took a chance with stamping the Eiffeltower on the background as this was twice embossed, but luckely it worked !

TIO #107 Time Changer

For the challenge on Dragonsdream - Tag It On - I made this Steampunk Tag. I was inspired by T!m's 12 days of Christmas Tag #8.

12 tags of christmas....tag 8

I am following - as many of you do - T!m's 12 tags of christmas but today was the first time I managed to create a tag to my satisfaction. Since I don't have a die cut machine and embossingfolders it was hard to think of other ways to make the tags 1 to 7. BUT... today T!m made me very happy with his steampunk tag!
Been working all day, made 3 tags, will show one of them here on my blog. I had so much fun today!!

Green

For the challenge on Less Is More.
I dropped some alcohol ink (Meadow) on glossy cardstock and used an airbrush to blow it around. I didn't think it needed anything else but various colours of green cardstock and some bradlets to finish.

Decorated box

In a Christmas style for the challenge on Make My Monday.
I took a cigarebox, covered it with gesso and then put drops of alcohol ink (green, red & some gold) on it.
Inside I glued some Christmas wrappingpaper and a winterpicture.
On top I glued stamps from received Christmascards.

For challenges on Tag It On (The Da Vinci Code, Homage to the Great Man) and Stamps R Us (Emboss It).
The woman is heat-embossed with Distress Embossingpowder Vintage Photo, background is stamped with versamark and then brayered with Distress Ink Faded Yeans.

SDC 43 Non Traditional Christmas

So no use of Red and Green and it's a Stampotique only week!
I stamped on both cards Jo Capper-Sandon's star as background with versamark. On the 1st card I brayered with Adirondack Sailboat Blue and used Denim for the stamping and sponging. On the 2nd card I used Adirondack Purple Twilight and Eggplant. Put crackle accents on the eyes and on the buttons of the shirt.

Festive Cheer

The challenge on The Crafty Pad is to use Red & Green & Gold or Silver.
I used the new winter distress inks for stamping and sponging.

Make My Monday

On Make My Monday November theme is Christmas.
This week they want to see more Christmas but with the added extra's of Flowers, Foliage or Snowflakes.
The card may be a bit different from 'normal' Christmascards, but I am usually not that traditional.

For the challenge on Craxy 4 Challenges.
I stamped the tree with colorbox frosty white and embossed with white embossingpowder. Then brayered and sponged with pitch black Adirondack ink.

I stamped the tree with colorbox frosty white and embossed with white embossingpowder. Then sponged with distress ink black soot.

On Less Is More this week the theme is Silhouettes.
Stamps used are from Katzelkraft (cats) and Crafty Individuals (bird).

CAS Xmas

For Make My Monday #24 - Make a CAS Christmas Card with emphasis on the Sentiment -

I glued a napkin with christmaswishes to white paper and cut out a piece, glued that on green&white cardstock, after I had put the ribbon on the white cardstock. Stamped some snowflakes&trees using the new winter colours distress inks.

Another one for Just For Fun with the same resist technique.
This time I used fall foliage colours as these are at the moment my favourite ones. I was too late for the colour challenge last week, so I combined the two themes on this card :-))

I just love doing resist techniques. On this card I used versamark for the stamp with the names of the cities, then brayered over it with Distress Fall Ink Gathered Twigs to bring up the image in 'white'.

Leaves

For the challenge on Less Is More - a one layer card with the theme leaves -
I sponged, with help of the remains from a Die Cut Oval, using fall distress inks Ripe Persimmon & Gathered Twigs and glued 2 leaf stickers on the card. Finished with ribbon (the yellow is in fact orange, but the scanner is colour-blind I guess) and a golden pen.

I stamped the circles with versamark, then brayered with big&juicy for the background. Tore pieces of paper and sponged the edges for the 'layers'. The woman is a stamp from Katzelkraft.
