Maybe this card inspires the weathergods to bring us frosty weather this winter, so we can do some iceskating and m a y b e have another Elfstedentocht......
Again, the background is an idea I learned by studying M Zindorfs blog. I made this in 2 colours, will show both of them. I love the colour of the blue one, but I think the green one turned out much better, it was the 2nd one I made.
I have been creating some art following tutorials by M Zindorf again. This is one of them. I really like the colour combination of layering on the black and the green!
On LayersOfColor this week's challenge is Farewell, it's the last one. I loved all the challenges, although I didn't have time to participate every week. My farewell is to the summer, so this will be my entry:
on LayersOfColor the challenge this week is roses. I made a card with a dutch children's poem. It says: Are you angry? Pick a rose, put it on your hat and all will be good.... This is it:
A combination of 2 challenges, namely on Rainbow Lady (transport) and on CreatedByHand (dream). My dream is to make once in my life a long trip by train..... So this is my contribution:
Again I combined 2 challenges on this card, for LayersOfColor this week the color is Yellow and on ThisThursday it is the use of Ribbons&Bows. Here is my card:
The challenge on 4*4 friday this week is to create your own handmade background. For my background I stamped the hearts with versamark on white mulberry paper, then heat-embossed them, painted the mulberry paper and ironed the paper to remove the embossing.
On TGIF the theme this week is Earth Colors and on Arty Girlz it is vintage, so I combined the 2 challenges to this (the colors are in real a bit softer, but the scanner couldn't get it better, I think because of the buttons):
On TMTA this weeks theme are Dog Days/Hundstage when it is supposed to be warm and hot weather.......I made this atc for the theme, with a little wink to the Dog :-)
On Mixed Media Monday last weeks challenge was to create art on a Thrinchie (3 x 3 inch). Just in time I made this today. Background is made with alcohol ink, on that some stamped flowers, the butterfly is cut out of a calendar.
On ThankGodIt'sFriday this weeks theme is Your Preferred Techniques. Well, mine still is to make backgrounds with alcohol ink in various ways. These are 2 cards I made using that background technique.
On Wednesday Stamper this weeks theme is to be square........on 4*4 friday the theme is favorite color. I combined the themes and came up with the following card:
This week on Saturdays Workout the theme is to create cards by using the resist-technique. I am currently following the lessons in Nancy Curry's book Texture Effects on Rubberstamping and this is made with the resist technique using versamark and ink.
The theme on Mixed Media Monday last week was working with transparencies. I made this atc, the women are stamped on acetate and on the back I coloured it with alcohol ink.
On Mixed Media Monday this week's challenge is all about using paint. On this atc I painted a tissue while folding it to atc size, I learned the technique from Bernie Berlin.
This week's challenge on Saturdays Workout is to work with Adirondack Alcohol Ink. I coloured this ceramic tile with caramel & oregano alc.ink. Stamped the text and pear on a tissue and glued onto the tile with gel medium.
On thank god it's friday the theme is acetate. This is my contribution. I stamped the woman on acetate and spot coloured it on the back with alcohol ink.
