Made for Viva Las VegaStamps! Monthly Challenge Februari < Under the SEA>

Background is done with distress oxide Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans, Iced Spruce,  Fossilized Amber and water.

Dig deep for things with sand, coral, water, the sea, mermaids, fish & other underwater creatures! The wonderful thing about the sea is that it is full of ALL colors! You can draw inspiration from the board with teals, tans, black & white, gray, and pops of pink and green.. OR whichever color combo makes you happiest :)

First challenge 2018

First challenge in 2018 is on Viva Las Vegastamps Challenge blog and this is what I made for it:

Had a lot of trouble entering my own blog, somehow is was logged to the wrong email address.
I just found that out, and was able to change it and now it is working again, phew...

I started with 2 greens distress oxide with water. Some black & white accents, markmaking and ofcourse the lovely stamp.

The inspiration:
We'd like you to pull deep down and bring forth your muse! Show us your face... real or whimsical, use greens of any hue, black & white. Be inspired by bold patterns, circles, dots, crosses, mark making, hatches, grungy, distress, layers & more. Mary Vogel Lozinak's images are a great way to start your year of stamping.

The Witching Hour

Another month, another challenge on Viva Las VegaStamps!

Halloween themed this time.

I started with a background done with distress oxide inks & water.

Took some halloween themed stamps and drew the bats.

And ofcourse my favorite spider 😁

Love that one, use it a lot ...

The challenge photo:

We're going a little more traditional this year with yellows & oranges, black & white. Also be inspired by anything that goes BUMP in the night, creepy crawly feelings, scary ladies & witches. You can draw inspiration from bats and things in flight, moons, trees, and other lights.

Thoughts of Fall

Background is done with the gelliplate, paint & lots of stencils.
I also used stencils on top of the gelliplate background

Really like the result :-)

Inspiration words:

Be inspired by Jewel & Earth tones like mossy greens, warm oranges, pale pinks n blues. Draw inspiration from the browns and grays. Use any woodland creatures like deer, foxes, squirrels, birds and more. Trees, branches, pines, mountains... all are appropriate! Also feel free to use lots of marks & textures in your background.

My inspiration came from the words: sea, pink,purple, orange,blue&teal

Can you believe this challenge? um. YUM?! there is SO much goodness happening here.. we're featuring Michele Kosciolek's new TASSEL stamps! Plus anything sea or ocean related like shells, starfish, coral, sand, water and more. Don't forget to include some scenery and a lovely mermaid or two! Color choices are totally up to you, we've used pinks, purples, oranges, a dab of yellow, beautiful blues and teals & a delicious warm gray. TONS to choose from!

First a layer of white gesso, added some structure.
Then distress oxide iced spruce, grey paint & lots of water.
Black ink through a stencil.
Stamped and cut out the boys, coloured with distress markers.
Glossy accents in the eyes.

For Viva Las Vegastamps May Challenge

Background Distress Oxide Broken China mixed with Cracked Pistachio to get a turquoise feeling.
Added a little Iced Spruce for some grey.
Stamped the wire rings with the same colours, the rest in black.
Draw some circles through a stencil, coloured and added some glossy & crackled accents.
Fisnished with a few stripes washi tape and some rub-ons.

The background is done with distress oxide cracked pistachio,broken china and water.
Several layers, in between drying with heattool.
When I was happy with it, I stamped the images; love that sheet !
Colouring is done with distress markers.

My inspiration came from the colours green, teal & white, and whimsical.
