Driving home for SDC#78

Stampotique Designers Challenge #78 is daring us to use non Christmas themed stamps for a christmascard.
When I heard 'driving home for Christmas' on the radio, this stamp came in mind.
I used glossy paper, distress ink, blending tool, water, Archival ink, gold embossingpowder.

I love my family very much, so what better way then to honor them with this card?

Made for SDC #75 - Paint -

I painted the bookpage with a wash of acrylics, then smeared a wash of gesso over it with a creditcard.
Stamped the owl&branche (Katzelkraft) and Kitty (Stampotique).
The circles are done with gesso.

I challenged myself to combine 2 stamps, what I never dare to.
But......after finishing it was confusing as I think the wings are stamped upside down....

De 5e uitdaging met mijn zus alweer. Dit keer heb ik het thema bepaald en dat was 'gebruik een songtitel of tekst van een song van de BeeGees als inspiratie voor je creatie'.

Al weer de 4e uitdaging met mijn zusje.
Dit keer was het Carla's beurt een thema te bedenken en dat was "Gebruik 1 of meerdere plaatjes".

Uitdagingen met Carla - deel 3 -

Dit is al weer de 3e uitdaging tussen ons tweetjes. Dit keer was mijn opdracht:
"Gebruik beschreven papier in je creatie . Dit kan zijn een stuk krant, bladzijden uit een boek/woordenboek/tijdschrift o.i.d."
Carla heeft deze prachtige creatie gemaakt.
En dit is mijn bijdrage. Ik heb een journalpage gemaakt mede voor het 1-jarig bestaan van de DutchArtJournal Yahoogroup.

De tweede uitdaging in 2012 met mijn zus Carla.
Opdracht van Carla:
Gebruik de Mask - Clock (Tando Creative) die we allebei op de Art Specially Beurs in Zeist hebben gekocht.
Tevens is dit ook mijn tweede journalpage.
De achtergrond is gedaan met liquid watercolor, wat korrels zeezout en water.

Uitdagingen met Carla - deel 1 -

Mijn zus Carla en ik geven elkaar om de beurt een uitdaging.
Dit is de eerste keer en ik mocht het onderwerp bepalen. Mijn keus viel op de Octopode Cute Castle Stamp (gratis stempel bij de CraftStamper van de maand maart 2012).
Carla heeft deze prachtige creatie gemaakt en ik heb vandaag mijn creatie afgewerkt. Voor mij een eerste poging om een journalpage te maken. De basis (blauwe, witte en zwarte acrylverf met een pasje op aquarelpapier -300 gram- gesmeerd en de castle gestempeld) en de afgewerkte page.
